It seems that people will never be satisfied with the circuit speed. So the circuit frequency is getting higher and higher. Does that means if one want to be an analog designer in future, firstly he need to be a RF engineer?
We don't have to worry about the future of analog IC's designer. Every circuit needs interfaces to the external world.
These interfaces could be in several field mentionned above:
- MEMs or biomedics which interface electronics with mechanical or biological fields
- ADC/DAC that interfaces digital and analog
- RFIC's for wireless applications (everything tends to be wireless nowadays)
- Power Management which relates to the power efficiency of the more and more complex circuits that comes to the market.
As long as the real world will be continuous, which must last a few more years, there will always be a need for analog ICs, and even a growing demand for state-of the art analog interfaces.
analog design in general has made a comeback in the oast few years basically because digital cells have proven to be insufficient at higer speeds. every design house is struggling to hire analog designers for designing custom digital as well as other analog design work. analog desiners are hotter than ever. if you are a good or even an avarage analog designer you can write your own ticket.
Which aplication in analog design will be hot after next 10 years ???
Which will be more hot in future:
1.Analog Electronics ..
2.Device Electrnics ...
