I'm puzzled by the type of 51's data memory, I'm not sure if it is DRAM or SRAM.

If anyone knows some thing about it. pls let me know.

Thanks & Regars!

It is SRAM. DRAMs are not used in low-end 8-bit microcontrollers.

But if it is SRAM, how could it make several KBs with 6T cell?
Or is there any new SRAM cells?

Thanks!

I am not exactly sure of the internal construction of 8051's SRAM. But it is sure that its SRAM and not DRAM.
