Hey all,

Hopefully I am putting this in the right place, I just found this forum today and I need some help.

I am currently in the position to "try-out" for an IC Layout position in October, and I really want to perform well. I don't have any experience with Layout, but I do have access to all of the layout tools that are required for this job (Cadence).

Do you guys know of any resources that can help me get up to speed quickly? I have already ordered "IC Layout Basics" but I need to make the most of my time before that book arrives.

Any help on what I can do to better prepare myself is greatly appreciated, I don't want to miss this opportunity.

I do believe that my time will be best spent learning the tools, that is what will be most important from day 1.

However, I am not finding a lot of useful information during my searches for things like "Assura tutorial" or "Cadence tutorial". Do you know of any sources for information like this?

search this forum, a few months ago (or longer) someone posted some Cadence guides. I don't use it myself...

Thanks Marce! This thread was bounced around so many times I couldn't keep track of where it was going!
