This installation for water heating can be made all by yourself. Atmega8 and Bascom are used in the driver. The driver consists of two Dallas sensors 1 wire on two pins DS1820. You can change delta (difference of temperatures between the collector and boiler) and the system remembers the highest temperature of the boiler during operation of the pump. „Solar collector” can be made for example of an old window and ½ inch copper tube, tubing as well.

Elements used:
  • driver
  • collector:
    • 11m copper tube
    • plate
    • spray
    • boiler 100L with electric heater
    • central heating pump

This device can heat up 100L of water from 14 to 36 degrees Celsius. The position of the roof on which you install the construction have influence on the performance of the „solar collector”, but you can create and add a second panel as well.
