charge redistribution DAC error correction or calibration??

Can somebody suggest me a technique for calibration of charge redistribution DAC (C-DAC) , apart from Lee's self calibration technique, because self calibration requires a Resistor DAC with 2bits more resolution than the main C-DAC which results in more area.
