Hi All
I have a problem abort annotate DSPF file to PrimeTime,I use the read_parasitics command to read in

the DSPF file which was generated by STAR-RC.there is a option -pin_cap_included of read_parasitics

command,I don't known should use this option whether or not?

The MAN PAGE say that:
-pin_cap_included indicates that the RC networks are to included the pin capcitance, By default the

RC network does not included pin capcitances.

Here is some context of my DSPF file:
*|NET n1063 0.0278802PF
*|I (U3583:A U3583:A I 2.3241e-14 2575.28 1714.07)
*|I (U3533:A U3533:A I 1.1156e-14 2468.07 1738.87)
*|I (U3581:Y U3581:Y O 0 2399.8 1725.82)
Cg34620 U3583 : A 0 9.8482e-15
Cg34621 U3533 : A 0 1.43567e-14
Cg34622 U3581 : Y 0 3.67529e-15
R35725 U3583 : A U3533 : A 131.153
R35726 U3533 : A U3581 : Y 74.6751
I don't known the DSPF spec, but we can see that the cap of NET = Cg34620+Cg34621+Cg34622.
The report of Astro display that the cap of U3581/Y is 0.0577pf
If I dont use this Option in PT, the cap of U3581/Y is 0.0622772pf,it may be 0.0278802 +

0.023241+0.01156=0.0622772.
If I use this Option in PT, the cap of U3581/Y is 0.041274pf,how could this value be calculated out?
From the infomation upward, should I use this option whether or not?
Thanks!

The question could be simpled to this :
what is the relationship between "*|I (U3583:A U3583:A I 2.3241e-14 " and "Cg34620 U3583 : A 0 9.8482e-15" ,they all means "pin capacitance",what the differences between them, should thay be added together or only one of them should be calculated when to calculate the wire capacitance?
Thanks!

No. The Cg* statement are the grounded cap part of the PI segment connected to the pins, whereas the "|I*" statement indeed provide the actual gate capacitance of the pins.
When an extractor tool extracts a net, each segment of wire is described as a Pi device (a resistor connecting two grounded capacitance nodes). Half of the amount of capacitance associated to a wire segment is put on the grounded capacitance behind the resistor, and the other half on the node before the resistor.
