Hi Experts,
I need some information on the Kp data taken on ICs.What is Kp and how it is measured?
What is the use and how significant is this data?

Hi,
I want to know on how to measure the characteristic impedance of a PCB trace.I know that the same can be measured through a TDR. But is it possible to measure using a network Analyzer?
I can see a feature to plot Smith Chart in the network anlayzer. Can this be used to measure the...
Hi,
I have the below scenario, kindly suggest the best possible way.
1) I have an existing Gerber files database and planning to do fabrication of the same. The PCB FAB vendor has asked to modify the FAB notes in the Gerber file(No Change in the main layers).Should i need to generate the Gerber...
Hi,
Yes i understand that the Er depends mainly on the material, trace geometry.
But my query is w.r.t the frequency..For eg at freq of 25-30 GHz,what would be the effects on Er,Zo?
Is there a way to quantify the effects of freq on Zo and Er?

Hi ,
I would like to know the relation between Er , Zo and frequency.
I have some issue on below statements:
1)As frequency increases, Zo decreases
2)As frequency increases,Er decreases
3)but in general Er increases,Zo decreases.
Based on statements 1 & 2 ,statement 3 will be false..So pls...
Hi Experts,
Is there any relation between Cu thickness and frequency of the signal?
I am confused on choosing 0.5 oz or 1 oz or 2 oz inner and outer layer.
Based on what parameters we can decide the Cu thickness?
My board runs at 20 GHz speed.

Hi Sir/Madam,
How to we measure controlled impedance on a PCB?
We design a PCB for 100 or 50 ohm +/- 10% and fabricate it.But how to ensure it is 100 ohm+/-10%.
Basically how to measure the controlled impedance on a PCB differential trace?

Hi Experts,
I have a query on the dielectric material to be used at high speed designs.
This is for a digital design and the frequency of the signal will be from 15GHz to 20GHz.What dielectric material will be the best to use?
These are differential signals with 100 ohm controlled...
Hi Experts,
I have good experience in high speed board design and testing but new to post silicon validation.
Can you please help me out in the below:
1)What are the fundamentals and the required skills to be developed for this new role as validation engineer.
2)I am new to scripting.Python...
Hi,
Can you please explain the mean, root mean square and standard deviation with a practical example?
What is the practical application of each and what we can infer from their results?

Hi,
Can you pls let me know the register configurations that needs to be set to bring up DDR2.
I came to know that there are 12 config registers but could not get thier details.
Can you provide some details.Pls also share any app note to bring up DDR2.

Or are there any...
Hi,
Why do we need bad block management and ECC in nand flash?
What will happen if we dont implement them? Will there be an immediate impact or only over a period of time?
Also how do we find out if any issue is due to wrong implmentation of ECC or bad block
Regards,
VJKris
