Hi Experts,

Is there any relation between Cu thickness and frequency of the signal?
I am confused on choosing 0.5 oz or 1 oz or 2 oz inner and outer layer.

Based on what parameters we can decide the Cu thickness?
My board runs at 20 GHz speed.

Regards,
VJ

Hi,

Have a look on this thread.Mostly similar to what you have asked. Might help you in some ways

I don't think the change in copper thickness will impact frequency.
Cu thickness is mostly based on the Current rating we use.

Can effect the impedance calculation, otherwise pick a copper thickness based on feature size and current requirements.
