Most of what exists today is because of things that happened 10 or 15 years ago. A lot of the technology that exists eg low voltage is based upon what has been learned in the past. I would therefore assume that someone who has been in the industry for 15 years and has been paying attention will have the advantage of understanding the reason why certain things are important. Without yesterdays knowledge it is easy to make the same mistakes when building tomorrows technology.
 

1.5 years, wow there are guys making this for 25 years very cool you guys got it from the beginning, did you had spice in the erlay day?
One comment of old problems, the size of the Transisors are get smaller and smaller, this mean that it will be soon possibel to make good Bipolar transistors (latterel) in a normal CMOS process, and whoops it is Bicmos and than the old guys can tell use something, because the old problems striks back .
