Hello,

I wanted to know if there are any IC based tools supporting windows 8 (my laptop has the same). I am basically a hobbyist trying to learn IC layouts. (I have heard of Tanner, does it support win 8...?). Pls note, I only want the names of the tools and not the tool(s) itself.

Thanks,
Hobbyiclearner.

KLAYOUT supports WIndows 8 (https://klayout.de/)

OK thanks....but it can be used only for layout making and drc.... I am looking for a basic software sui
te which can be used to make schematic entry, layout and spice simulation post extraction. Maybe this can be done using various tools manually but then it is very difficult at times (the file formats etc. need to changed).
