Which software will program PIC18f4431?

need help
i have got a pic18f4431 microchip, can anybody tell me which software should i use to program this chip.

Do you mean software to write programs, or software to load the program into the chip?

If you want to write programs for it, do you want BASIC, C, JAL, Assembler?

If you want to load programs into it, do you have a programmer? Do you want to use In-circuit Serial Programming?

More information required before you will get a useful answer.

Nice chip, by the way. I like the built-in quadrature encoders.

i need to write programs for it and verify the output
which software will be helpful and how to use them to program because this is my first time to program a microchip.
if u have any sample programs or any e-books please let me know.

u can use MPLAB IDE as ur working environment

this IDE lets u write ur code in ASM, C etc.

u can also use MPLAB ICD 2 as a programmer if u want

u can get all these from microchip
