PsoC ICE

What is the in-circuit emulator used for? I understood that it simulates the real work of a specific device as a hardware ( an array of pins which may entered in a real circuit to simulate the device's work)?

Is this correct guys?

Thanx.

Re: PsoC ICE

hi,
basically each and every signal in the mcu is captured to ur PC screen, the data bus, program Counter..and of copurse all the registers. Real time running of the processor with H/w and S/w break points possible
to name a few, virtual DSO possible which show the graph of ur i/o pins etc..
In short, u get to see EVERYTHING th eprocerror is doing in real time and most importantly u run it in the application ..
