What is better for a digital designer: Cadence or Synopsis?

Actually Omiga tells the reverse. Looking at EDA market today, Synopsys dominates the FE while Cadence takes over the BE. For most FE engineers, they like VCS, DC, PC, PT more, but BE engineers like encounter more.

VCS of synopsys is much better than NCVerilog of cadence.
vcs almost suppports everything in verilog.

Does any one know the price difference between these two?

cadence vs mentor vs synopsys

I use synopsys's tools two years and use cadence's tools only a little time. I like synopsys's PT and VCS, solvnet of synopsys is also very good. I think the tools of cadence is tangled.
The above is individual idea.
