Hi all,

What all files are required while designing Layout and Schematic?

Eg:CDS_LIB,cds.init

Please explain breifly!!

Thank you

CDS_LIB: contains all the libraries that are you used for the schematic. all these libraries might be using each other in for the top level layout.
cds.init : Cadence internal or users custom files ( user defined cadence .il files) which are uploaded when one invokes cadence.

Thank you artmalik,

Yes, that is known. Similarly what other files are present and please briefly explain them.

There is a libManager.log : which contains all the things you do with manipulating the libraries
cds.log : all the commands that are executed on the cadence CIW window
display.drf : contains the color code and other information for the layers in layout

I am not sure what are you looking for...as most of these files are setup by the CAD team and designers dont need know much about it
