i have a VCO working at 2.4 GHz
i should match its output for maximum power transfer
i measured its output impedence, and i put a matching load Zload = Zout*
but when i did that, no output from VCO and the oscillation is dead.

why does this happened?

as i said in the RF forum , don't match the output of the VCO , the VCO should be buffered , then u match the buffer to drive the external world

khouly

Wo will design a buffer for ouput matching replace match the VCO directly.

Why not add a buffer for matching?
