I want to clarify in general and also in particular to dspic33e family that a timer increments by 1 for every single instruction cycle. Ex. My external ckock is 8 mhz and using the pll register i multiply with 20. Hence oscillator frequency is 20*8=160mhz. The MIPS is 160/2 = 80MIPS. So one time increment will be 1/80mips. Am i correct in this please help.
