how sdram works

Hi,

I have to interface SDRAM with a microcontroler.

Could someone explain me how SDRAM works in order to do the interfacing by myself.

Thanks

undestanding sdram

Could anyone explain how we must read the timing for SDRAM (i.e. : 3+2)

I think the number correspond to the number of nop between each signal generation, but I've no certitude.

single read : 3 + 2
burst read : 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 2
single write : 3 + 2
burst write : 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 2

What each figure stand for ?
