Ref level of -10 dB in Spectrum Analyser

in spectrom anlser we are keeping ref level=-10 db.
below that only weare getting response of a filter why i is like that?

Is your filter 50 Ohms ?
Most spectrum Analyzers are 50 Ohm (some are 75 Ohms).
