Need footprint creation standard document

Hi All,

Need footprint creation standard documents for Flex type layouts,

we have standard document(IPC -7351B) for rigid type boards,

but no inputs found for flex type boards.

also need through hole standard documents for inductor, capacitor, resistors,... if any found.

As a general rule of thumb, consider the bending modus of the flex board.
- do not put any components or vias on areas of the flex circuit that are expected to be bent very often.
- for flex areas that are bent once or a few times, use your normal surface mount footprints.

I would not recommend putting through hole components on flex areas because the holes will significantly weaken the flex board and may cause premature failure. Try finding surface mount equivalents for them, or consider a rigid flex board instead and move the through hole parts to the rigid areas.
