Need a device for Transmit and receive a mono-pulse

Hi there,
I need to send a pulse (a binary 1) and receive it on another device. Just to see if there is a pulse or not.
What tranceiver you suggest? Do I need a FM? or maybe a simpler one? Any appropriate module?
The important factor in my case is power at the receiver.
