Orcad and pads library

Hi
Currently we are (at job) using orcad to do schematic
and pads to do routing and layout

We have an orcad library of about 4000 pieces.

is there a way to convert/import those piece into pads to use pads logic instead of orcad?

Re: Orcad and pads library

You sure can .....
If you already do not have them,
download the MENTOR translation tools from supportnet.mentor.com
they have a OrCAD to PADS converter in the toolset
after conversion, check the results ( some cleanup maybe necessary ).
If you do not have access to Supportnet, check out conversion vendors (ex: Logicswap, PCBDesign200, etc) as they do this type of work. Good luck!
