is synopsys going to port vcs to NT?

CURRENT supported platforms:
Sun Solaris, HP-UX, Redhat Linux , DEC OSF1, SGI IRIX, IBM AIX and Windows NT

**broken link removed**

but it seems that cad tool developers prefer to port their products to linux rather than NT.

but vcs7.0 seems not ported tp NT

Hi ,
i guess VCS 7.0 is no longer ported to winnt due to increased cost ....linux being open source, it is very cost effective solution, most EDA companies r preferring to move to Linux platforms. Synopsys stopping to support windows platforms is one of those intiatives.

you have to be really silly to use windows in industrial domain ... and soon in the personal one also.

Linux platform is better than windows nt.
