hi everybody on the forum,,,,please help me

now we are using 4 wire sensors/detectors interfacing to the panel where four wires consists of 12vdc, gnd ,alarmin and alarm out, where alarm out is connected to atmega microcntroller's port pins where it reads any signal change.

now we are planning to interface only two wire detectors to the panel, which how could it be done?? which two wire needed to be taken to interface it ? is there hardware or software changes required ???

Hi,

which of the wires do you want to cut?

now we are planning to interface only two wire detectors to the panel

You should have datasheets for the old sensors, the new sensor and the panels.
We don´t have the datasheets, so it is hard to help.

is there hardware or software changes required ???
Using only two out of four wires is a hardware change. If you want to do this, you should know why you want to do this.
