Hi All,

As we know that 8 - bit = Byte
16 - bit = Half Word
32 - bit = Full Word
64 - bit = ?

That's my Question

64 - Bit

No, Byte = 8 bit (it would be better to say that often byte = 8 bit, but not always)... That is all. Word is a term that associate with internal architecture of processor. For example for 32-bit processor (means that internal registers of processor are 32-bit wide) Word = 32 bit (therefore HalfWord = 16 bit and DoubleWord = 64 bit, QuadWord ...).

Re: 64 - Bit

Byte, Half Word, Word(not full word), Doube Word, Quad Word

Re: 64 - Bit

Byte --------- 8
Word --------- 16
DWord--------- 32
QWord--------- 64

64 - Bit

Guru59, It will be correct only for 16-bit wide architecture. "Byte" and "Word" are terms from differents domains.
