how to make to design and build 3D models of components for Protel DXP to biew Board in 3D
.....

you can import step models into altium, you can find them in 3d content central site(exact name i dony remember google it please).

It depends on your version of Altium but you can create your own 3D bodies by using place 3D body within the PCB library. Mixing the cyliders, extruded and sphere you can make some pretty decent 3D bodies.

If you've got an older version - there is a component body manager hidden somewhere however this only give you rudimentary outline based on the component silkscreen and it's height attribute.

Chris.

If you're looking for something a bit more complex than simple extruded shapes then we have a blog post giving you instructions on doing this for free.
