dxf to layout

Who knows how to include a image or logo to my PCB in Orcad Layout in Silk Screen side...
Thank You

logo in orcad layout

One way to do it is to convert your Logo into DXF and then import DXF into OrCAD layout and make a part out of it for future use.

Importing a company logo or DXF file into a board file.

PROBLEM:
How do I import my company logo into a board?

SOLUTION:
Before attempting to merge your company logo, ensure that:
your company logo is in the DXF format.
Visual CADD is closed.
To merge your company logo into your design
In LSession:

In the File menu, point to Import, and select DXF to Layout.
In the DXF to MAX dialog box, select the Input (.DXF) and Output (.MAX).
NOTE: The .MAX file should be an empty design. It should not be the .MAX design into which you are translating.

Click the Interact button. Visual CADD opens displaying the .DXF file.
In Visual CADD:

Choose the Selection tool (arrow toolbar button).
Select all entities that you want to convert.
In the toolbar buttons, click the OrCAD button.
In the Translate Selections to MAX dialog box:
Select the type of object to which you want the selected entities converted.
Select the layer where you want the translated object to be placed.
Select the Delete selected entities after conversion checkbox. Deleting entities after their conversion is very helpful for determining untranslated entities.
Repeat steps 4A through 4B until you have converted all entities you want, or all entities are gone.
Close the file and DO NOT save changes. If you save changes you will be saving the current blank .DXF file over the actual DXF file.
Close the window that displays the message saying that translation complete.
In LSession:

In the LSession Tools menu, point to ECO's and select Auto ECO/DXF.
In the File A dialog box, select the original design file (the max file into which you want to merge the logo, and click Open.
In the File B dialog box, Select the .MAX file that you translated, from the .DXF file that contained your logo, and click Open.
Click Save to save the .LIS file.
Close the .LIS file.
In the Merged Output Binary dialog box, save the new .MAX file.
When you get the Processing Complete message, click OK.

orcad 9 how to insert logo

Hi!

Make sure that your DXF-file has the 12 or 13 AutoCAD format.
Otherwise, it will have to be converted.
