how to add a footprint into my library- allegro 16.3

hi mate..

I have one brd file (Allegro 16.3), from which i want to take out one foot print to be used for another design. how can i add that foot print into my library. plz help me. thank u.
 

hi prince ,


first export the footprint from board file, file export ---> library save it in one location
open your schematic which symbol footprint to change right click --> edit property
generate net list

in board file --->go to setup---> user preference --> change libary path for your footprint location (pad path , psm path )

and then

import the netlist file in your board
