Assumptions:
  • a minimum of 6 atmospheres pressure
  • large storage tank
  • possibility of continuous operation
  • possibly the greatest mobility
  • reduction
  • pressure switch

Compressor unit in this project is a well known HS11. Remember to check if it does not need renovation such as a new head, crankshaft or sleeve connecting rod. Pressure storage tanks were made of LPG 60l cylinders and additional cylinder 40l operated by valve – possibly the strongest and cheapest. Technical hose connects the cylinders, so in the case when you take a break – mix paints or clean the gun, you can open the valve and then the total tank capacity is 100l (60l and 40l). Engine was taken from water pumps of central heating – 1,1kW 1420rpm.

The whole device was placed on a frame, which was under the cylinder. The frame can be separated from cylinders by placing valve springs between them. The cylinder was placed on universal wheels for better mobility.

Fan from Fiat126p matches perfectly to the cylinder and head. The speed could be raised up to 2400rpm without worrying about heating up too much.
