Freeze

If you view view the above video it will freeze if you use
real player or if use use streambox it ends it prematurly at the freeze
point
 

The easiest thing must be to buy Camtasia for 30$ or something through download.com . It's a framegrabber. You can record everyting that appears on your screen and audio-port.

If you want to work hard you can download the whole webcast site in 30 days, because you are allowed to evaluate Camtasia for 30 days.....

Hey can someone check this dsp video out and see if it freezes
about 51 seconds into it.

i watched all the way to the quiz (what happened to his arm!?!) and this video seems fine. I used realplayer 8 (not realOne!) and pasted that link right into my IE window.

When I copied the videos for my classes I used Streambox also. It does sound like a problem with your connection.

Im really confused though, why would a connection problem cause
the video to hang at the same spot every time.... the audio keeps
going.... strange..

Freeze

I think its maybe a safeguard to exclude viewers outside the berkeley
domain from viewing the video.
 

Streambox VCR didn't work at least for the Analog IC course 25.8. Haven't try the other yet
 

I prefer to read the textbook instead of spending so much on downloading.

I sucessfully downloaded a video following way:

1) Download Latest Net Transport from hxxp://lycos26486.l78.lycos.com.cn/default.htm
(Tested on v1.42)

2) Go to hxxp://webcast.berkeley.edu/courses/index.html

3) Select the class, you want...

4) On next page you will see
icon_view.gif
icon with "image + link"...

5) Right click on that "image + link" and select Copy Shortcut
link looks like this:

6) Next open a blank browser window, and type "view-source:" in address text area and then paste copied link next to it.. ie:

This will open a notepad window with codes like:

7) Next open Net Transport window, and click "New" from main toolbar
now paste copied rm file link which is

to "URL".
Under "url", there is a "referrer" textbox. Paste the original (first) copied icon link in "referrer"...

8) That's it...:D

Tested with three different classes...and it works fine...no freeze...

I have a question regarding Nettransport:
I tried to download through a
proxy (212.0.105.105:80). I added the proxy, but when
I tried to validate it with HTTP <Connect> it ccould not
connect to the www.microsoft.com. If I chose HTTP<Get>
it works ok. If I configure this proxy in the IE6.0 it
works perfectly ok. Also, if I try to download a file
configuring this proxy in Other Settings>Proxy>Single
Proxy it can not connect. If I use direct Connection,
everything works ok.
What am I doing wrong? How can I make it download
through a proxy?

i can c it.
1.download the video files without the special software (eg. netants,flashget...)
2.open the video files on ur harddisk
but u must ensure that ur computer is connected whit the internet when u c the video

Point here is not to watch these videos online, but how can you download them and watch them offline...
 

Any one of you guys with oppinion on the Nettransport problem I have. I would really appreciate some help.
 

Has AN1 tried using the offline browsers such as Teleport or Offline Browser yet?

I use net transport till now to download EE240 and EE140 very well till now. I use a proxy of course from my university. But now I am unable to download anything using net transport...can someone help...the proxy works for all my other downloader softwares. Is any one else unable to download the videos recently?
I have been unable to download last week's lectures....will some kind soul help...

I connect with net transparent by what bharundi said through a proxy.but can't connect right.
