I am a student at Berkeley and am also half polish, so it is only natural to want to help you guys! Berkeley is expensive, but they are very nice about posting all class notes and homeworks in pdf. If you put effort into learning these courses (Even buy the book!) you can become an excellent designer, with knowledge of a MSEE or PhD.

Here is the link to class webpages. Start at the lower classes unless you already have an EE degree, but it is all there for you to learn - analog, digital, RF and wireless.

Please mirror these on your own webpages, or Berkeley will stop offering the pdf files to the whole internet due to heavy downloads. Good luck!

Mandi,

if you are behind a proxy, you need to set some settings. Go to the help at realplayer. it is mentioned there

anybody know how to record the webcast?

i can view it with realplayer

Video view

So you can view the whole video stream ?

I can view the start then the video freezes , but the audio keeps going...

Use StreamBox to download.

Video Clip

Look at the first clip in the list ... My video freezes at 52 seconds
into the clip

how to download easy streamer to hard drive and watch without freezes?

Use NetTransport instead

It's downloads fine without freezing like streamer does :)

it's downloading php file... the worst problem real file is hidden by php script, what to do?

Video

You need to :

Right click on video file
copy shortcut

pull up a browser
view-source (paste shortcut)

then copy rtsm.... to the end of .rm

then paste in net transport...

I still doesnt work though, I guess the freeze is some sort of premature
EOF.

For each webcast link - right click copy shortcut then paste into a new browser -don't press return yet!

insert in front of the https:// etc view-source:

Eg

view-source:https://webcast.berkeley.edu/courses/replay.php?prog=6&group=50&date=20020909&rep=real

Notepad will pop up the following:

rtsp://teles.berkeley.edu/bibs/f2002/group2/ee140/20020909.rm?title=EE140-09/09/2002&start=2:20&end=1:21:43
--stop--
pnm://teles.berkeley.edu/bibs/f2002/group2/ee140/20020909.rm?title=EE140-09/09/2002&start=2:20&end=1:21:43

Now take the first line and strip everything after the 20020909.rm to leave

rtsp://teles.berkeley.edu/bibs/f2002/group2/ee140/20020909.rm

Run Net_Transport and paste this URL into it - the webcast video will now download as a file you can watch later - each one appears to be about 100Mb - 150Mb in size

The only way is to use streambox VCR. I've used it and it works.
