eagle pcb silkscreen

Hello! I just started working in EAGLE for the first time. It is my first time designing my own PCB. So far it's going great but I have a couple of questions.

I was reading a guide and it said to draw the silkscreen on the tPlace layer and to not get it on the pads as it will mess with the soldering process. I have a SMD SOT143 Diode that has tDocu drawn on it.

Will an outline of tDocu go on the silkscreen or do I have to draw the silkscreen myself? Is tDocu just for reference and not actually printed on the PCB?

If I draw it myself, what's the easiest way to draw it so that I don't get it on the pads?

Here is a picture of my component:

Thanks guys!

Hi Ghost,
it is your choice witch elements get on your PCB. You have to assort the layers for your Gerber films.
Only a suggestion:
tPlace - component outline TOP on PCB, not on pads,
tDoku - component outline/Name on sheet for humans, no pads.

OK so far?

I know this already. That's not what I'm asking. Thanks for your help though.
