In this circuit, the voltage drop across the resistor R will be due to the 10V ac source alone and not due to the 5V dc source, as the capacitor will pass only the ac voltage and block the dc..
So the ac source voltage will be dropped between the capacitor and the resistor, and the dc source will just be a dummy..
Yaa... what you said is correct. The series connection of a DC source and AC source will result in a level shifted AC signal. But the capacitor will pass only AC signals and the AC voltage will be dropped across both the capacitor and resistor
