Cap & diode in DC environment

Thats great job done. And I am sure now you will be having the winter trouble free.
Yes discharging fully ruins the battery, it may seem working then but for the normal temperatures, in low temperatures its working is also suffers. This winter I had my battery almost of 30 months old and I got problem for starting in the morning while the temperature was varying down to 12° Celsius, so I got a new one and my life is easy. :smile:
 

Well, I don't wanna jinx it (again) but it seems the battery was the culprit. Two days of standstill, temps are 32F and lower, and no more resetting. Woo-hoo!
I left the caps & diodes inside, I guess they can't hurt...

Once again, thanx for all the help and ideas!!
