THis is abest book in design resuse sofar.

Reuse Methodology Manual for System-On-A-Chip Designs
by Michael Keating (Editor), Pierre Bricaud, Russell John Rickford

xilinx reuse filed guide

may be you can find it on www.xilinx.com. it describes a set of guidelines to facilitate design reuse on System on a programmable -chip.

I am also recommended this book " Reuse Methodology Manual for System-On-A-Chip Designs", maybe you can find it on ebook download/upload fourm. Good luck.

In my company, a chip usually be revision with metal-change only.
Someday we want to reuse the RTL code of this chip, we
may find the RTL is not fully updated as the silicon,
so we reuse the same bug, too.

the management of database is also a key issue of design reuse.
