What is the advantage of analog design with digital cmos IC. Which tecnology shpuld be chosen at mossis site

thanks

the only advantage is the price - you do not has as many devices available and therefore you do not use as many masks. In general you can do it but you will find out that it is not a great idea,

yes,it's not a good idear.
but it's cheap.it can integrate analog and digital into one chipset.
It's also bring the challenge to design engineer.

The first challenge is you don't have the MIM cap, so you must try
to use MOScap to be the floating cap which is nolinear. Or, you have
use Fringe Cap composed of metals which suffers low capacitance density.

for fringe Cap, if you use four or five metal in 0.18um and below technology, you can get the same or large capacitance density as MIM.
