There hasto be an easier way to do this!
We're doing a design that uses a slightly modified part of one in an Altium library, so we want to clone a part (after exploding the .intlib), made some minor changes, and re-save it as the slightly different part.
Sure, we can copy / paste the graphical elements, but if the only difference to the new part is a few pin designations, I don't want to have to copy / paste the PCB footprint, IEEE symbology, etc.
Surely there is a way to "clone" a part? I though it would be as simple as something like how doing a CTRL-C/CTRL-V in Windows explorer makes a "Copy of this.file" from "this.file" that can be modified and renamed.
Thanks for any tips!
