any one help me about the ...how to Protect relay spike

i am make a some circuit on 89c51 based control relay with uln 2803
but just i am connect transformor and switch relay my controler going to
restart please any one hep me

your problem of controller going mad is due to the spikes in supply.

remove the microcontrollers supply from the relay supply. Have a separate supply for controller and test it separately.

if works ok , then you can add some filters , should it be from the same supply.
