How to filter 24VDC supply inputs in automative circuits and protect circuit from damages and malfunction?

Is it from a power supply or from battery.??

I think you should precise your question a little bit...

Here are a few hints:

- automative circuits should tolerate high voltage spikes created by load dumps and reverse polarity

- filter what...? it all depends of what kind of noise you want to filter...

Good luck,

The 24VDC is from truck or car battery.I want to have a robust input circuit to overcome typical noises in automative and protects against voltage spikes.

Generally you put TRANSIL diodes for protect over voltage (between line and ground), in series before transil you put PTC resistors for protect over current. After this you put choque and capacitors for do the filter ...

24V systems are composed by two series 12V bateries ...
