guys,,I want to make a project using only 8051 microcontroller that I could possibly present in some good level fests such as in iits or nits...I am good at microcontroller programming , so can anyone please suggest me few topics that I can make it out???

Not a good idea to go for 8051 at iit or nit's level. people do high ended projects at that level. 8051 is too much an academic level projects

agree with ckshivaram... but if u can still make some good applications with 8051 that should help.
