Hi there, guys

I worked on this single layer layout the other days, I printed it out, I made it using the photographic method and it came out great ... but my plan was to place my components on top but I can't do that because the layout I made it's only good for placing SMDs ... what changes do I have to do in order to place THDs also ? Do I have to mirror the THD components from the beginning or what ?

I hope I was explicit enough ... if not please say and I try more next time.

By the way...I'm using EAGLE. I know there are lots of tutorials for this software if you know any in particular that could help me with my problem please let me know.

Thanks in advance,

You need to pick the components for through hole instead of SMD. Most likely you have to replace all the components. When you place the component, look whether the footprint is SMD or through hole.

If you want to mix SMD and through hole on a single sided PCB then one group of components needs to be mirrored. I would normally mirror the SMD.

ok, I got it. mirroring is the solution.

Thanks,
