    sms control using pic I use C18 and the easiest way is to store the sms on sim card. AT+CMSS=1 sends the 1st sms from sim card.

    Why is PIC better than AVR?

    In every AVR vs PIC comparision I found PIC16 MCU's. It's a little cheating, because PIC18 MCU's are much better, than PIC16. And nobody has mention PIC24, dsPIC etc. Comparing an ATMEGA with a ~20years old PIC16C74 is a joke :-)

    Thanks! I have an ICD2, but I use PS+ to DIP package PICs. ICD2 to in system programming. Maybe I will build the adapters to programming DIP PICs with ICD2.

    [SOLVED] Project to replace CY7C64613 in the ICD2

    When you connect to RC1, the led will be turned on. The hex does not include BCF PORTC,1 or any other instruction, which can turn it off. So I think that, it must be connected to RC2. I don't know, what is it's function, because there is no usb led on the original ICD2. So its not clear to me...
