Hi,

I have a MINCO stator RTD S9030PAPA (Platinum 100 ohm at 0 degree). This is a temperature sensor for measuring power generator temperature. It can be clearly observed that the sensing element is winding through out the body length (serpentine pattern on the same layer level).

(Note: the website picture doesn't show the winding layout of sensing body.)

Winding here means on the same body surface level, the sensing element layout contains clockwise and counter-clockwise direction loop, alternatively.

I assume in the power generator stator there is strong electromagnetic field. Strong current will flow through the RTD because of parasitic inductance. To reduce the magnetic coupling, the sensing element is winding, thus the magnetic flux in the clockwise loop and counter-clockwise loop will cancel each other.

Is there a specific name, paper or patent for this kind of technology? Is this a standard design for sensing under strong magnetic field? Anyone know this?

Thanks a lot.
