shielding with vss

Hi.. every one, Why Shielding line connected to VSS and not VDD ?

shield line + vdd or vss

the grounded lines pick up unwanted signal. if it is not grounded then it will be useless. the negative polarity of the shield lines prevent other signals from entering the shielded signal.

vss + shielding

In IC packages, the ground plane is usually a large metal plate below the die. Thus, you can have a very clean and low resistance ground line and can have a large number of ground pins with no additional external connections.

In fact, the shielding line should be connected to the clear low-impedance line.
