hello all, it might be a very simple question but can anyone tell """ why it is not necessary to do output matching e.g LNA to consequent block when it comes to an IC design ?"""""

what is the main reason ?

Can u expand ur questions, i mean that u r asking why LNA does't require output matching when it is IC form, right ????
If so than...
In LNA we do matching for input noise therefore we don't need at the output matching.

Re: matching

I guess your question may be why in IC do not need 50om match.

Becauset in IC we can define the resister between stages.

Re: matching

it 's ordinary to not doning matching between LNA & the next block [Mixer or Image Reject filter or whatever ] since they all on same CHIP .
i.e. small interconnect between them ---Electical Voltage or Current rather than
power matching &E & H of microwave propagation

Matching required for long distance orhigh frequency when interconnects are comparable to lambda the wavelength of the wave .at this moment we deal with wave and power signal rather than electrical signal

that 's my knowledge ihope it helps you

matching

50 ohm matching is for interfacing with PCB.
