whining noise from switch mode led driver circuit.

Our LED drivers are just burst mode or on/off control types.

How can you tell the difference between the whine from a vibrating ceramic capacitor and the whine from a switch mode inductor.?

These are boost and buck led drivers.
 

Simplest way is to touch each component with tweezers and see if it affects the noise. Normally I assume noise is due to inductors. Capacitors usually only make noise if they have a poor dielectric (Y5, Z5, etc).
