which tool do you use for behavioral modeling

for ultimate chip simulations ultimately you have to have the model in HDL - this is how it is done in industry - however for co-simualtions the HDL models is replaced with spice netlist

you can also use MATLAB for behaviral simulation.
 

I feel for complicated one verilog A is better and for others matlab simulink is better
