Cadence is a good tool.... But it is a licensed tool...

Mentor 's sieries products
Synopsys is also OK

Yes, Synopsis and Cadence are quite alright but very expensive. So sometimes we have to use another EDA tools, much cheaper (it worth mentioning that for particular tasks these tools can even surpass cadence and synopsis tools)
