1.....FET turn off in DCM flyback
2.....FET turn on in DCM flyback

Well, in my opinion, and focusing on the flyback,
switching losses are higher in turn-off for DCM, for their higher primary peak currents, while at turn-on are higher in CCM due to the non-zero initial primary current.

Turn-on switching losses are almost entirely capacitive for DCM and BCM.
In the latter, the valley switching should provide quite a few Vds voltage when compared to the random Vds you may encounter in pure DCM.

Control ICs exist however, which maintain valley switching even in DCM.
