which netlist is compared against the final GDS for LVS

Hi.

I am wondering which netlist is compared against the final GDS for LVS.

Can we use the initial netlist to compare against the final GDS?

I mean the netlist which is delivered by front end team.

Or Do we need to provide the final netlist after all the optimization ?

You also use the final netlist for lvs,
Because it is optimized at per step from initial netlist,such as cts,IPO.

GDS is format which is given to the fabricator.

LVS means layout versus schematic , netlist is genrated from the layout and netlist generated from the schemetic is compared.

gds is not compared with lvs
