Can anyone suggest for the best choice for Embedded Internet (uC base)?

There is also book "TCP/IP lean , web servers for embedded systems " with some source code using PIC micro as example .
 

Look, for Beck SC12, its PC in CHIP, with dos operation system and RTOS. You wrote programs in Borland C++ 5.02.
There are TCPIP, Web server, FTP server, telnet server ...
